Week 2 Blog Post
In class this week, we reviewed the NGSS, which means the Next Generation Science Standards. We learned how to work the site and how to read the titles for each level. It was fascinating how they had every grade level what they were learning separate and the main takeaways they should be learning. We also created posters with the 8 characteristics of living things. This was really interesting because we got to use what we already knew and try and write the ideas out. We drew pictures and then our definitions were supposed to be simple and easy for an elementary student to understand. I found the poster making instructions clear, but when we had to create definitions it became a little confusing to me because I understand these terms, but I am not good at explaining them and putting them into simpler terms.
