Week 8 Blog Post
- What did you do in lab today?
- In lab this week, we all presented about our different topics about space. My group presented on the idea about black holes and were they came from and facts. Talking about galaxies were something that intruigued me this week. It is so crazy to think about the idea that there are an insane amount of planets and we are probally not the only humans or living things on a planet.
- What was the main lab question?
- What are the different parts of the universe backgrounds?
- What did you learn in Thursday's discussion?
- In lecture this week we talked about the idea of the orgin of the unverise. We also when over the other topics that were discussed in lab, but the orgin of the universe is so intersting to me becuase there is so much that is unkown.

- What did you learn?
- One thing that I learned that I didn't know before this class was that the Milk Way is a large spiral-shaped galaxy. I had no idea there where different types of galaxies adn the way they are shaped. We are only on one part of the spiral called the Orion Spur arm.
- What was most helpful?
- One thing that was helpful was the idea of how galaxies are formed. The stars, gas, and dust are held toghether by gravity in space which makes up our galaxy. Also the fact that there are 100 billion galaxies in the entire universe is crazy to think about.
- What do you need more information on?
- One thing I need more imofrmation on is black hole. I compelted this for a project but I still don't understand some ideas on it. There is a lot of misconpcetions with black holes that it made us hard for us to know what was true and not.
- What questions, concerens, and/or comments do you have?
- Where does the stuff go when it gets sucked in by a black hole?
